I hope this email finds you all well and happily painting.  We are among the fortunate to have an avocation and vocations that takes us into the transcendent beauty that is unique to our landscape. While some of us don’t venture out in to the great outdoors as often in the colder months and spend more time in the studio, it is a time of joy and gratitude for the beauty that surrounds us. Whether we are taking those studies from the warmer times and working from them into studio paintings or going out to catch that one more study, it is all about the journey.  It is about learning to see more clearly, to see how we can best interpret the land, how we find and refine our artistic voice.

As the year draws to a close, it has been an honor to serve you in the organization as we paint and learn together regardless of the challenges we may face as an organization or in our individual circumstances. Much gratitude is owed to our board members, event chairs, paint out coordinators and many volunteers.  Their tireless efforts have helped this organization in ways seen and unseen. 

We will be having a year end meeting soon on the 11th. This meeting will be open to Artist Members, Signature Members and master Signature Members only.  At that meeting, we will be able to do a year in review and elect new officers.  It has been a fantastic year.  Many of us are standing to return and looking to others to join the Board of Directors.  

After the meeting I will do another post summarizing our year in Review Report and the results of our election.
