PAPNM Member, Barbara McCulloch, has released a new artist’s workbook: “The Unstoppable Artist”, Discovering the Artist Inside Yourself.
Barbara:
"My painting and teaching career began in 1990, outdoors in the mountains of Montana with watercolor as I guided students through Glacier Park painting en plein air. Then I fell in love with oil for its ability to modulate color as I traveled through Colorado and into my home in Santa Fe.
I created a comprehensive guide to art fundamentals that would be similar to an Art 101 course for artists needing precise information on getting started in drawing, painting, color and design in order to develop a strong personal style. There are projects designed to assist with plein air: field studies, composition, exploring color schemes and oil painting projects and examples.
As an instructor, I realized that confidence was the doorway to progress, so this book is unique in that it begins with discovery projects which weave the students' unique passions and purpose into an empowering creative vision.
55 illustrated projects, and the contributions from 10 artists help an artist go from stuck to unstoppable. "
