08 Aug 2026 11:40 AM | Phyllis Gunderson (Administrator)

As we all prepare our centennial celebration paintings of the Mother Road, listed are a few reminders and clarifications from the prospectus.

Your paintings:

  • Each registered artist will be allowed to exhibit up to four paintings and one 'Tiny Treasure' completed during this event’s paint out
  • No minimum size.  Maximum size per piece is 18” x 24” or 432 square inches unframed.
  • Tiny Treasures will be completed with materials provided.  Those 5 artists who recently signed up, have the option of having their materials mailed to them or they can come to my home in Pecos to pick them up
  • All work must be at least 80% completed en plein air, during the paint out period
  • All work must be sturdily framed, or gallery wrapped and ready to hang with D-rings and wire. No saw tooth hangers will be accepted.
  • Delivered paintings must have a label on the back and another to turn in at drop off (we use that for creating wall labels etc.. You can get the blanks here: labels .  These two labels will suffice as the inventory form.
  • Each painting should be accompanied by 2 progress photos taken during the painting process (start and 80% complete) with the placard visible in the photo.
