Immerse yourself during this three-day studio workshop with Peggy Immel. Each morning will kick off with presentations and oil painting demonstrations delving into the day's key concepts. Topics will include subject choice, composition, values, color, light, atmospheric perspective, edgework, paint quality and the gentle art of self-critique. Throughout the workshop, you'll receive personalized coaching and invaluable critiques tailored to your artistic journey. You'll also receive comprehensive handouts covering each topic and a schedule to keep you on track. While reference photographs will be provided, you may also bring your own for inspiration. Demonstrations will be in oil, but artists working in other mediums are also welcome.

Learn how to print with Gel Printing Plates to make monotypes, photo transfers, and backgrounds for unique pieces of art. Spend a day learning a variety of methods and materials you can use to make prints with this versatile tool. Gel Printing Plates are durable, reusable, portable, and flexible.

Instructors:

Artists Wendy Ahlm and Stephanie West will teach you how to use a variety of tools and methods to print beautiful backgrounds and finished artworks. This is a great class if you want to experiment, play with media and draw inspiration from the process. Wendy and Stephanie are known by Artisans students for offering great fun and joy in their classes. Beginners to advanced artists will be engaged and enlightened.
