From Michele: "Just received notice from FASO - Fine Art Studio Online that this piece "First Snow" was selected as part of the FAV15% for the December competition. That means it's one of the jury's favorite 15%. I always forget to enter this competition, which happens every month if you have a website through FASO. This will hopefully remind me to keep entering.

Carla Forrest Fine Art and Kickstand Café present Pathways, contemporary landscape paintings depicting Albuquerque’s splendid open space and trails. The show features works by Carla Forrest, which appeal to our mountain biking, hiking, and outdoor adventurists. Meet the artist at the opening reception on Friday, February 3, 2-5 pm. Explore Pathways from February 1^st through April 30^th with works rotated regularly.

American Women Artists: Pushing Forward Reaching Back Juried Exhibition at Brookgreen Gardens, South Carolina

Congratulations to PAPNM Signature Member, Carole Belliveau, for her acceptance into this prestigious show. Carole is a Signature member of AWA.

A new exhibition titled American Women Artists: Pushing Forward Reaching Back, opens May 13, 2023, and continues through July 23, 2023, at Brookgreen Gardens, Murrells Inlet, SC. This juried show features 100+ paintings and sculptures by members of American Women Artists (AWA). Accepted works will be announced mid-January 2023. A Grand Prize of $10,000 and additional prizes of cash, merchandise, and media space will be awarded. The awards ceremony and opening reception take place May 12. All works will be available for sale.

12th Annual Plein Air Salon 2022-23

PleinAir magazine presents the 12th annual PleinAir Salon $33,000 Art Competition. In the spirit of the French Salon created by the Academie des Beaux-Arts in Paris, this annual online competition, with 11 monthly cycles, leading to the annual Salon Grand Prize winners, is designed to stimulate artistic growth through competition. The competition rewards artists with over $33,000 in cash prizes and exposure of their work, with the winning painting featured on the cover of PleinAir magazine.

The 12th Annual Awards will be presented live at the Plein Air Convention & Expo in May 2023.

The Top 100 Finalists from each month are comprised of those with the highest scores. The winners and honorable mention awards are selected from this group of finalists. Top 100 finalists are eligible to re-enter their paintings in future competitions until it wins a category award.
