Chris Morel:
I will teach a 2-day Plein Air workshop in Santa Fe NM, October 27-28, 2021.
The workshop is for all skill levels from beginner to professional. We will work outside on location starting and completing both a morning and an afternoon session.
I will start the workshop with a quick demonstration highlighting processes and techniques of plein air painting and then students will get started on their pieces.
I’ll focus generally and individually on helping students improve from your current skill level to the next.
We will touch on all aspects of painting outside: from choosing subject matter, composition, value, color mixing and application.
We will work with a basic split primary palette of colors plus white. (Warm and cool versions of the primary colors Red, Yellow and Blue).
All you will need to bring is a great attitude, a desire to learn to paint from nature and your supplies.
“Instructor Chris Morel has requested, for the safety of his students, that all participants taking his workshop be vaccinated”.
