Prospectus
Purpose: To enhance the awareness and participation of Plein Air painting in Eastern New Mexico area.
Opening Reception: 4:30 - 6:00pm, Friday June 22, 2018
Exhibition: June 25 - Aug 24, 2018, Mon-Thurs, 8-5; Fri, 8-4:30
General Requirements: Open to the first 75 members of PAPNM who register. Registration information is at the bottom of the announcement email. Otherwise to register click on the Clovis Exhibition event in the Upcoming Events box on the right of the home page of www.papnm.org. Then select the Register button to the left. A fee of $5. 00 made out to PAPNM is due at time of delivery of painting to locations given below.
PAPNM is an international organization and those who wish to be part of the exhibition and are not members may join by going to the website and clicking on JOIN US in the top menu bar. Membership fee is $35. Each artist will be allowed to enter one painting in the show (maximum image size of 14 x18). All paintings will have been painted in Plein Air with no more than 20 percent of the work being done in a studio. This exhibition is not a paintout, however artists are allowed to hang out and paint with the workshop group. Those who do not take the workshop will not be given instruction. The workshop is Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week being taught by Dick Wimberly. Paintings from this workshop will be allowed to hang next to the exhibit. More information about the workshop can be found under the Member News section on the bottom left of the web page. Works can be for sale or designated NFS. Sale proceeds from any painting sold in exhibit: 10% to PAPNM, 10% to CCC for a scholarship fund, and 80% to artist.
Framing Requirements: All work must be sturdily framed and ready to hang, with d-rings and wire. No saw tooth hangers will be accepted. Artist name, title, medium, size of image, and price to appear on label affixed to the back of painting.
Entry Fee: $5.
Agreement of Entry and Liability: All reasonable care will be taken with paintings. However, neither Clovis Community College nor PAPNM, their agents, employees, volunteers or anyone working on the exhibition will be held responsible for any loss or damage to artwork left in the gallery or during transportation to and from the gallery. Insurance is the responsibility of the artist. PAPNM is not liable for personal injuries or theft sustained at paintout locations of this event. PAPNM reserves the right to reproduce accepted artwork for publicity purposes. PAPNM reserves the right to reject work deemed unsuitable for public viewing. All payments are final and non-refundable. Purchaser of artwork from the gallery shall arrange for all aspects of shipping. Your entry and payment constitute acceptance of all conditions and terms of this prospectus.
Delivery: There will be three delivery locations. Framed paintings must be hand-delivered to Clovis Community College Phase 5 office room 509 on June 19th or 20th from 8-5, or to Dick Wimberly, Zia UMC 3368 Governor Miles Rd. Santa Fe New Mexico 87507 on Monday June 18 or to John Meister 1209 Mesilla St. NE, Albuquerque,NM 87110. Monday June 18, 2018.
Shipped paintings will be accepted as long as there is pre-paid shipping for return (see address above).
Retrieval: All paintings must be picked up weekdays at CCC, or drop off points in ABQ and Santa Fe after Aug 24 (details to be provided).
